"Together we can face any challenges as deep as the ocean and as high as the sky."
Hello,
Thanks for visiting
I'm born and raised in Mississippi, earned a Master in Healthcare Administration from Belhaven University, work at a hospital, husband, father, and enjoy photography as an on-the-side venture. Some other tidbits about me are that I'm a coffeeholic who likes hiking, spicy food, road cycling (completed my first 50-mile cycling event in 2022), lived in Spain for three months, and would like to retire somewhere in mountains.
In 2015, with no prior photography experience, I started my photography venture by reaching out to local nonprofit organizations around Mississippi to volunteer as an event photographer. Word-of-mouth about me eventually spread and led me into portrait photography, and then referrals starting being received for wedding photography.
Some event venues around central Mississippi where I've worked as a wedding photographer include The Barn at Bridlewood in Madison, Livingston Mercantile in Flora, The Cotton Market Venue in Florence, The Five Star Lodge and McClain Lodge in Brandon, the JSU e-Center and The Red Barn in Jackson, and Reservoir Pointe in Ridgeland.
Many photographers do a "what's in my bag" reveal, so I'll jump on that band wagon too. At pretty much every wedding you can expect to find in my bag: Nikon camera, 2.8 70-200mm lens, 1.4 50mm lens, 18-55mm lens, flashes, MagMod MagSphere, more spare SD cards and batteries than I'll ever need, and lots of NutriGrain bars!
Anytime you want to reach out, ask a question, meet for coffee, etc. send a secured message on the Contact page, and I'll respond quickly
Thanks for your time,
Mason Graves
